Yet did Mother Evelah give to Adamilus a second son which he called Abel, being himself as equally bright and happy, a man who loved deeply the natural world and all creatures which did move upon the land, or which flew in the airs above, or which swam within the seas.

Summary: There are two different individuals referred to as “Abel” in the Song of God: the Abel who lived on this earth, and the Abel who lived on the world of Terralee. On every mortal world where the dispensations of God are established, the second son of Adamilus and Evelah is always given the name (or title) of Abel.
The Abel of Terralee was the second son of Adamilus and Evelah, and taught the Enoshahim the art and subtleties of language, writing, arithmetic, song-making, and the music of the flute and lyre (4:8:8-16).
