Apuis-Ra

Pronunciation:  ah-POO-ee — raw

Occurrences:  1
First Reference:
 6th Endowment 13:18

And there fell into broken ruin the three dark princes which had sought to wound the Azraella, for the fierce and dreadful Savior did slay in quick succession first the dark prince Apuis-Ra, then Osceo-Ka’in, and at last Tapari-Chemoshi; causing that even Yaldabaoth should stare in disbelief, to see such mighty princes swept away as though they were but dust.

See:  Demiurge, Second War, Soli-Endi-Muhat, Yaldabaoth

Summary:  Apuis-Ra was one of ten dark princes created by the Chief Demiurge, Yaldabaoth. These emanations were appointed to lead vast hordes of lesser demons (Douds) during the Second War against Heaven. During the battle at Soli-Endi-Muhat, Apuis-Ra was among three dark princes destroyed by the Azraella (6:13:18). The two other defeated princes were Osceo-Ka’in and Tapari-Chemoshi.

Notes/References:

This then proved the armies of Yaldabaoth, for Yaldabaoth commanded alone the Kalliform and all the dark princes together, while the dark princes did command each the Douds which they created, even as the Douds proved most bitter masters above the vast hordes of Kezan.
