Let us then consider the second festival which I would now appoint, for on the eve of the winter solstice shall you celebrate for three days the Winter Festival of Lights; which festival shall proclaim aloud the family of God above that of mortal man.
See: Fellowship of God Refer to: 7th Endowment 3:12-48
Summary: In the 7th Endowment, Heavenly Mother appoints the celebration of four festivals which coincide with the solstices and equinoxes of each year. The Winter Festival of Lights is a three-day celebration beginning on the eve of the winter solstice, which celebration proclaims the supremacy of God and the family of God above all things temporal and impermanent (7:3:12-21). Proscriptions for celebration include the following:
• at sunrise on the day of the solstice, a candle is lit in the sanctuary, to burn for three days (7:3:23)
• feasting and celebration with family, then with the greater family represented by the Fellowship (7:3:24)
• the home is filled with music and decorated with pine boughs and lights in commemoration of Sophiel and Mahaleenah in their victory over Jehovah-Yahweh (7:3:29-34)
• extending the grace of God unto the poor and those less fortunate (7:3:35-39)
Other festivals include: the Festival of Joy, the Festival of Harvest and Thanksgiving, and the Festival of Lovers.
