GLOSSARY
Pronunciation: MIHSH-kuh
Occurrences: 1 (Azrael’s Commentary - Jairus)
See: Capernaum, Jairus, Leah, Yeshua
Summary: Mentioned only in Azrael's Commentary, Mishkah was the wife of Jairus, the chief rabbi of Capernaum (AZC — Jairus). After Yeshua healed their only child, a girl named Leah, Mishkah and Jairus became followers of the Galilean (Y:13:46-69). This became a source of controversy among the local community, and Jairus was soon expelled from his congregation for apostasy. The family followed Yeshua on his Sidonian mission and eventually settled in Tyre, to become leading members of a local group of followers which included the twin sisters, Maximilla and Prisca.
