Summary: Ezra Ben Onias was included among a group of leaders within the political party known as the Zealots, who went seeking Yeshua to see if he would support their cause (Y:29:8). The Zealots were opposed to Roman rule within the boundaries of ancient Israel, and considered the temple authority to be corrupt traitors.
