Pearl 16
The way of the Spirit is peaceful and harmonious.
Overcoming without contending,
Answering without speaking,
Building without striving,
Succeeding without demanding,
Prospering without taking from others.
For the Spirit is the center of every man and every woman,
Filled with many mansions;
Containing within its parts the song of many mysteries;
Revealing before the eye the likeness of things eternal.
What then shall the Spirit become
But a good man’s treasure or a bad man’s refuge?
Offering up within the mind the wisdom of endless ages.
Thus is the Master spiritual minded,
Living peacefully with all men.
Being free of delusions yet filled with light and truly seeing.
Knowing within, the only true reality
Which is born of God and not of men.
Becoming as one enraptured and filled with deepest knowing;
Being seen by those who see as a treasure and a refuge,
Filled with many mansions.
